Beaver Scouts (6-8)

Beaver scouts start at 6 years and move onto cubs at 8, when your child joins beavers they will be introduced to lots of new activities, people and lots lots more.

Beavers are young people who:

  • Master new skills and try new things
  • Have fun and go on adventures
  • Make friends
  • Are curious about the world around them
  • Help others and make a difference, on their own doorstops and beyond

Every week, they gather in groups called Beaver Colonies to hop, skip and jump their way through lots of different games and activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.

Our two beaver colonies meet on a Wednesday (Gowy) and a Thursday (Severn), we have two very healthy and thriving colonies with friendly and kind leaders helping to deliver the beaver scout program and at the same time keeping it fun for all.

Badge Placement

The core item of uniform is a bright blue sweatshirt. The sweatshirt is worn with our group ‘necker’. On special occasions Beavers will also wear the uniform ‘Scout Trousers’. All of these items can be purchased at competitive prices from Chester Districts own Scout Shop.
