About Us

42nd Chester Scout Group is one of the 20 Scout Groups in the Chester District within the County of Cheshire.

The Group consists of one Squirrel Drey, two Beaver Colonies, two Cub Packs and two Scout Troops.

The Group primarily serves young people from the Hoole and Upton areas although we do have and welcome members from other areas within the Chester area.

We are an active Group and try to take part in many District, County and national activities; from camps, competition hikes, climbing and many many more.

We at 42nd Chester believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always. We’re part of a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life.

We encourage young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, we help young people enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future.

We’re talking about teamwork, leadership and resilience – skills that have helped Scouts become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians. We help young people develop and improve key life skills.
